Reflexology

Reflexology is a safe, gentle and non-invasive therapy which dates back to ancient Egypt from which people from all ages may benefit. It is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body. It involves applying pressure techniques by using fingers and thumbs on these areas. By stimulating these reflexes, a positive effect can be achieved which can aid the body’s natural healing process and increase a sense of wellbeing, thus bringing back a natural balance to mind and body.

It can help deal with the daily challenges of a hectic life by encouraging relaxation both physically and emotionally. Whilst it could be beneficial for chronic and acute conditions, it may also assist with sleep patterns, aches and pains, reduction in anxiety/stress levels and an increase in energy levels.

Debbie Stevens is the only Advanced Reflexologist in Worthing and runs her clinics here on Tuesday and Thursdays by appointment only. To find out more about Reflexology please visit https://debbiestevenswellbeing.co.uk or to book an appointment call Debbie on 01903 690627 or

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is a massage of the upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face, either with or without oils. It has been used in India as a part of the Ayurvedic healthcare system for over 3000 years. It is a versatile massage therapy that encourages a sense of calm and relaxation which is so necessary in our stress filled lives today. Each session lasts between 30 and 45 minutes and can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of age. A few benefits of Indian head massage are improved circulation, improved hair condition and an increase in energy.

Reiki

The word Reiki means universal life energy and is the power that acts and lives in all things. Reiki is a non-intrusive, hands on treatment where the therapist places their palms on or above the energy centres or chakras of the client in a gentle manner, thus importing healing energy and allowing balance to take place. The Reiki healer acts as a channel to conduct the universal life energy. This therapy is very relaxing and promotes natural self-healing. The benefits of Reiki include reducing stress, helping to improve sleep and a feeling of calm and wellbeing.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to help improve both physical and emotional health whilst taking into accounts a person’s physical body, mind and soul. I can create a personalised blend to provide help and support for an individual’s symptoms for use at home or during your appointments. This can be in the form of, for example, an aromastick, cream or bath oil and together we can choose which product fits within your daily routine.
